Prabir Das : The Promising Right back
West Bengal has provided many players throughout the ages . Prabir Das can be one of the finest right back ever born in India. He is good with his defensive as well as offensive abilities. The right-footed player wears the Number 33 behind his back and won the I-League with Mohun Bagan during the 2014–15 season and the Federation Cup the following season. He even won the Indian Super League with another Bengal giant ATK in the third season of ISL.
He made his professional debut with Pailan Arrows in the 2012 season of I-League. On 23rd September 2012, Das scored his first goal for the club in the 2012 Indian Federation Cup in the 69th minute to give Pailan the victory 2–1. Das gave them 2-1 win over the Shillong Lajong also. His first I-League goal came against the same oppositions at Salt Lake Stadium which went on to be the only goal that was scored in the match.
He is becoming popular in the Indian footballk circuit and got a chance to play for the Goan giant Dempo FC. He made his debut for Dempo on 27 November 2013 against Pune F.C in an I-League match which ended in a 1-1 stalemate. He made 10 appearances for the club in the League.
On 13 June 2015 Das signed a two-year contract with Mohun Bagan A.C. He made 5 appearances for the club in the 2015 season. A month later his move to the Kolkata based club, he was drafted to play for Delhi Dynamos in the 2015 Indian Super League making 4 appearances throughout the season.
In July 2016, Das returned to the ISL but this time with the ATK. He played a vital role in ATK’s pursuit of the trophy for the second time and succeeded as they defeated Kerala Blasters in the final of the 2016 edition. On 5 July 2017, he signed the contract with Atlético de Kolkata tying him with the club till the end of 2020 season.
He is still playing for the same team in the ISL. The two teams with which he won ISL and Ileague merged together to form ATK Mohunbagan and he remained with the team. He is playing with them for this season and spectators have huge expectations from him.
